📲 Make a call 

• External Call: 

  • 1. Dial the number you want to reach - don't put a 9 in front of the number 

    2. Press the 'Send/Dial' button at the bottom left of the screen 

• Internal Call: 

  • 1. Dial the last 5 digits of an internal number and then press the button that says 'Send/Dial' at the bottom left of the screen

    2. If you have got new numbers, both the current internal extension numbers and new extension numbers will work ongoing

• 3 digit quick dial numbers: 

  • 1. If you have these set up already, instead of dialling the ‘#’ key, enter the number ‘5’ and then the 3 digit speed dial number

    2. Press the 'Send/Dial' button

• International calls: 

  • 1. Enter '00' first

    2. Then enter the country code followed by the number 

    3. Press 'Send/Dial'

    4. If international dialling is not enabled, email PhonesProject@itv.com to activate it 

☎️  Answer calls or pick up calls to other phones

• If you're part of a pick up group, you'll see calls to other phones in your office come up on your phone, if they aren't answered within a few rings

• To pick up a call, when you see the notification, press the 'Pick up' button first, and then pick up the handset 

• If you no longer want to be put in or taken out of a pick up group, let us know at PhonesProject@itv.com 

➡️ Transfer a call 

• Press the 'Transfer' button on the dial pad or on the screen 

• If you'd like to, change the transfer type

  • If the default transfer type is 'Blind', the call will go straight through. If you want to speak to the person first, select 'Consultative' on the bottom right hand side of the screen

  • If the default transfer type is set to 'Consultative' you will speak to the person first. If you don't want to speak to the person first, select 'Blind Transfer' on the bottom right hand side of the screen

• Dial the number you want to transfer to, or chose a contact from 'Directories' and press 'Send'

• If using Consultative mode, when the person you are transferring to answers, press 'Transfer' again

⏸️ Put a call on hold 

• Press the 'Hold' button on the screen or the dial pad

• A red light will appear around the screen 

• To take the call off hold, press 'Resume' or the hold button on the dial pad 

📱 Turn on and off a call forward 

• Press the 'Forward' button on the bottom left of the home screen

• If you have multiple lines, select the line you'd like to use

• Select when you'd like to forward calls from the following: Always (forward all calls), No Answer (forward calls when there's no answer), or Busy (forward calls when you're on another call)

• Under Contact, enter the phone number you want to forward the call to

• Press 'Enable' at the bottom right hand side of the screen

To take a call forward off, follow the same steps as above and when you get to the ‘Contact’ screen select ‘Disable’

📑 Call a contact 

• Go to 'Directories' 

• Select 'Corporate Directory'

• Type in the name using the dial pad  

• Press 'Submit'

• To call someone you can then select their name and press 'Dial'

📮 Voicemail 

If you have a new voicemail, your phone screen will flash red. To listen to it: 

• Press the 'Voicemail' button next to the dial pad

• Press ‘Select’ on the Message Center screen

• If you have multiple lines select the right line

• You'll see new messages appear here under 'New', click the down arrow to select this, then ‘Connect’ 

• Enter your pin number followed by the '#' sign and then follow the instructions

  • If you don't know your pin number, ask your Ops Manager or email PhonesProject@itv.com

👥 Start a conference call

• Call the first person you want to have in your call

• Select 'More' on the bottom right hand side of the screen

• Select 'Confrnc' 

• Call your next number and press 'Send'

• Select 'Confrnc' again to start the conference 

👥 Hide your phone number

• Enter the start (*) key 

• Add the number '67'

• Dial the number as you normally would (e.g. *6707949049087)

⬇️ Download the app to take and make landline calls on the move

• Go to:

  1. 1. 1. • The AppZone on a Mac or Software Centre/Company Portal on Windows 

           • The App Store or Google Play store on your mobile or tablet

• Search for "Zoom Workplace"

• Download the "Zoom Workplace" App 

• Sign in through SSO or Google

• Go to the 'Phone' tab along the top or bottom of the screen

• If you want to take calls from other numbers from the app (e.g. Producer 1, or News Editor), let us know at PhonesProject@itv.com and we'll get these assigned to your app
